The 'Critics' Cutting Room
The film raised a 'red flag' for some people
who felt a few of the scenes were not in
accordance with scripture. This section addresses those specific issues,
and includes
corresponding bible references.

1. Jesus never called anyone a 'son of hell'. Read: Matthew 23:15 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cross sea and land to make a single convert, and you make the new convert twice as much 'a son of hell' as yourselves". 2. Jesus never got upset or raised His voice. Read: Matthew 21:12-13 And Jesus entered the temple and 'cast out' all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and 'overturned' the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And Jesus said to them, "It is written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER'; but you are making it a ROBBER'S DEN." 3. Peter never cursed nor would he ever swear. Read: Matthew 26:74 Then he (Peter) began to curse, and he swore an oath, "I do not know the man!" At that moment the cock crowed. 4. The chief priests and the Pharisees didn't plot to kill Jesus. Read: Matthew 26:59 Now the chief priests and the whole council were looking for false testimony against Jesus so that they might put him to death; Mark 14:55 Now the chief priests and the whole council were looking for testimony against Jesus to put him to death; but they found none; John 11:53 So from that day on they planned to put Him to death; 5. When Jesus was crucified, 'spirits' didn't come out of their graves. Read: Matthew 27:50-52; And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.
